Interesting, never seen anything like it before... like an SA80 bayonet.
  7. Anyone help ID this flag. Probably not to old, well made, heavy brass fittings. looks to have seen lots of field use.

    Help with an M40

The attached pics show the two stamped letter/number sets on the inside rim of an Luftwaffe M40 helmet. the 1080 is on the rear. the nkp64 or hko64 or other, not clear to me any ideas of significance of these would be appreciated. The helmet has been a double decal example only a shadow of the shield and less than 5% of the eagle are left. pic added. Gordon
  10. Hi guys, I need a big favour. I had an MCN Youtube channel, but due to some weird Google guff, it ended up getting deleted and I lost all my videos and subscribers. Can I ask you to PLEASE view, like and subscribe to the new MCN Youtube Channel? It would really help me out. https://www.youtube.com/@the_MCN

    ME 110, D5+B?

Guys, been poking around again and I don't beleive how luck I have been with this. It basically confirms it is a 110 but the Werk Nr is different but still from Braunschweig? It is a small plate but it seems to have carried the required data? Rich
  12. Guys, as stated above, I expect nothing is fancy but at €45 I thought it a fair punt? Rich

    Web hosting update

I’ve rationalised all my web hosting, downsized to a smaller server as I’m not really doing web hosting for customers anymore. You shouldn’t see any difference though, new server is still capable of hosting a forum. I've stopped using the miltariacollectors.network as it was really expensive to renew every year and I couldn’t renew it through my new hosting company. It’s also a bit catchier… www.theMCN.org any problems, let me know… 😉

A Cheeky Scotch, made it to 56!

Happy 56th, Rich — not bad for a cheeky Scotch! 😄 Here’s hoping this year brings more collecting, less chaos, and a bit more sanity all around. Cheers to better days ahead!

    high quality of ss totenkopfring

I am pleased to present you my new high-quality copy of a German WW2 skull ring - the so-called tanker ring. This ring repeats the buttonhole of the German tank troops of the WW2 period - a skull without a lower jaw. This is NOT an official ring, but since the design of the skull repeats the buttonhole of the tank troops, then in the collectors' community the ring is called a tank ring. A very rare type of ring. https://totenkopfring.com/

    Russian 36 leningrad liner reissue.

Frank, no, I am a bit of a hoarder. The chap didn't have anything in my line of interest at the end of the day that we could agree on. It is still in the collection. He didn't want it at the expence of his German helmets! Best Rich

    Russian 36 leningrad liner reissue.

Hello i presume you have sold this, it looks very interesting converting a 36 to take the 39 liner. Pity it has gone.

    Russian helmet identification

    Sorry no idea! Rich
  23. Bought this helmet from Ukraine, it was found in 2022 in the Kiev region. I have never seen a russian helmet that has the liner attached using a central bolt as per British ww2 helmets. Does anyone have any information about this helmet, is it for military or civil use. Thank you

  25. Guys, starting to take back a bit of time for myself, as is the wife. We aren't getting any younger and a lot of people we knew have popped their clogs. I am starting to get out a bit more again and work a bit less. I am 57, so, for you guys out there are in your 30's or there abouts, I want to warn you how quickly time goes by and to make sure you realize you are living now, and not putting things on the back burner to do later. There may not be a later, so make sure you enjoy every minute now, take the chances push the boat out, don't always play it safe. We all get focused on work and money and often neglect what actually matters. All I am trying to say is life is not a rehersal, make sure you use it all up! Rich
  26. Guys, as stated above. Rich
