Lovely, tell me, as it's always confused me. Why did the cammo tellers? Surely they would be buried?

They were also used on the beaches of Normandy, they were placed on top of the wooden poles designed to rip out the hulls of landing craft, but with a twist. I suppose it makes sense to cammo them from being ID from photo recon by planes, when they were above the water line

Another point is they could be deployed quit quickly in undergrowth with foliage over the them, when on a hasty retread perhaps.

Seeing these were designed solely to take out vehicles, it makes sense to cammo them for ground insertion in case they become exposed , they would be hard to spot while driving a truck or armoured vehicle, and a soldier could walk right over them without detonation unless he weighed 200lb or more, I daresay Goering would have had a hard time
