Henri Posted May 29, 2016 Posted May 29, 2016 Don't know for sure, but it looks like a kind of footlocker. If I am correct, there are invasion stripes painted on the lid, what sugest that it is used by an US G.I. Correct me if I am wrong, but commonwealth forces did not use invasions stripes on theire equipement, right? 1
HetzersGonnaHetz Posted May 29, 2016 Author Posted May 29, 2016 I'm not sure but I think you might be right Henri!
Henri Posted May 29, 2016 Posted May 29, 2016 I know there is a book that tells everything about invasionstripes. Don't own it my self, but I do know it was published a few years back. This can tell you to which unit the GI belonged and may be the time frame he landed in Normandy! These stripes were only used for the D-day invasion!!!! 1
