HetzersGonnaHetz Posted June 14, 2016 Posted June 14, 2016 I traded a WW2 US E tool for this. The condition ain't great but it's a start. It's marked 138, Julius Maurer Oberstein. 4
DAK D Posted June 14, 2016 Posted June 14, 2016 Hi @HetzersGonnaHetz, I don't see anything wrong with condition of this cross it's a bit toned and grubby that's all D 2
HetzersGonnaHetz Posted June 14, 2016 Author Posted June 14, 2016 (edited) I can see the shiny stuff beneath the black around the edge, should I remove the grime and make it shiny? @DAK D Edited June 14, 2016 by HetzersGonnaHetz

HetzersGonnaHetz Posted June 14, 2016 Author Posted June 14, 2016 Ok will do bill! I've just purchased this one as well tonight, made profit when I was selling some things so I treated myself. 1

DAK D Posted June 14, 2016 Posted June 14, 2016 Hi @HetzersGonnaHetz, Are you going to focus on Iron Crosses, or are you going to buy other TR medals too? D 1
HetzersGonnaHetz Posted June 15, 2016 Author Posted June 15, 2016 (edited) Not sure yet, might move on, sell things until I find what interets me. Edited December 3, 2016 by HetzersGonnaHetz 1

Can't recall how many regrets I've heard or read about from collectors who dicked with/'cleaned-up' their mementos....clean a medal and you're merely erasing the history of it lying in a vet's drawer or languishing in a garage or in an attic/loft in a box.almost disrespectful and downright daft! History is history and irreplaceable. 1
Desert Rat Posted December 10, 2016 Posted December 10, 2016 Lovely Item...as completely original...no polishing, no scrubbing or solvol autosol to polish it and ruining it by making it look good, very presentable and ORIGINAL as it should be....Great...!!!
