Guest Fred Karno's Army Posted July 5, 2016 Posted July 5, 2016 Picked this up in the week,a field find from the Somme,I have decided not to further clean it but just leave it in 'as is' found condition, and just treat with preserver.A nice addition to the display, the breach is empty and the magazine is clear, wonder if he was ready to reload ???....makes you think.........
HetzersGonnaHetz Posted July 5, 2016 Posted July 5, 2016 Are these legal to own, as I thought bolts needed a license, I know it's rusted to hell but the law is odd!
Guest Fred Karno's Army Posted July 5, 2016 Posted July 5, 2016 In this condition yes, parts moveable that's a different matter altogether.
HetzersGonnaHetz Posted July 5, 2016 Posted July 5, 2016 Ooooo I want one, how much would this cost to get one may I ask?
Guest Fred Karno's Army Posted July 5, 2016 Posted July 5, 2016 I paid £70 which I personally don't think is extortionate, judging by some I have seen for sale, but it's the completeness (apart from disc and butt plate) that I favoured along with the open bolt and remaining traces of woodwork. That sold me on this particular one.
HetzersGonnaHetz Posted July 5, 2016 Posted July 5, 2016 Mhm, what did you out on it to stabilise it? And did the seller tell you whereabouts the digger got it from?
DAK D Posted July 5, 2016 Posted July 5, 2016 Hi @Fred Karno's Army, What a thought provoking relic especially at this time D
