Guest Fred Karno's Army Posted August 29, 2016 Posted August 29, 2016 Can anyone shed any light on the Camo applied to this para helmet,I don't even know what date it is until it arrives in the week, but any ideas on Camo .
Davejb Posted August 29, 2016 Posted August 29, 2016 I,m thinking its just a personalised camo painted by the soldier, its definately a combat camo, either France or Netherlands, it could even have been copied from a German helmet cover, or a representation of one 1
Davejb Posted August 29, 2016 Posted August 29, 2016 BTW, thats a bloody nice looking helmet, saw a couple at Odyssey yesterday, in the £600 bracket 1
Guest Fred Karno's Army Posted August 29, 2016 Posted August 29, 2016 (edited) Should be with me Tuesday or Wednesday,it will be interesting to see what date it is . @Davejb how times change,I was jumping through hoops when I sold my glider pilot 44 dated helmet with H type mask for £650 ,but that was 20years ago,my two 44 dated webbing chinstrap helmets I sold for £150 each and thought that was a record lol. Major General Bil4338 Posted August 30, 2016 Major General Posted August 30, 2016 Nice helmet.to my mind, it looks like post war TA modification/updating, maybe even regular Para, who'll ever know?interesting variation nevertheless. 1
