Boonie Stomper Posted March 18, 2018 Posted March 18, 2018 (edited) Another treasure from my "bunker". This is in perfect, like-new condition--even the leather chin strap. I found others like this on the internet, but they all had headphones or a provision for headphones. This doesn't--maybe it's from the pre-radio days? Edited March 18, 2018 by Boonie Stomper 1
Desert Rat Posted March 18, 2018 Posted March 18, 2018 (edited) Hello Boonie, Looks very good....but I know nothing about these items. I am more of a WW1 collector as in the images below....one of the very first French grenades used from the 1890's until 1917...strange one, but extremely rare and cannot find anymore...I was very lucky to find this!!! It is nicknamed the "Hairbrush" grenade due to the shape of the handle and completely 100% very original!!! I will sell it on MCN soon. Best to you....IanB/ Desert Rat Edited March 18, 2018 by Desert Rat correction to text 1
Boonie Stomper Posted March 20, 2018 Author Posted March 20, 2018 What an incredible find. It seems Germany & the UK used them too. Very few survived. 1
Desert Rat Posted March 20, 2018 Posted March 20, 2018 Yes Boonie, A chance in a million to find one of these. I have seen these on other websites sell for between £250 - £350.....WOW! That's why the price is high....no one can find them anymore! Best to you...Ian/ Desert Rat
Desert Rat Posted March 23, 2018 Posted March 23, 2018 Hello Boonie, Have you got any more items from your collection you can show us on MCN? Many Thanks...IanB/ Desert Rat
