kriegsfunker Posted October 5, 2019 Posted October 5, 2019 Kasten Pz. Nr. 11a - what vehicle and intercom system was it used for? It's different from the Bordsprechanlage B Kasten Pz. Nr. 11, which got its power from an Umformer. This one has a vibrating power supply and gets its power directly from the vehicle battery. 1
dufleuve Posted October 5, 2019 Posted October 5, 2019 A bit like the 23 and 23a. Same purpose, but different power supply. I see it uses a WGL12b, while the 23a uses a WGL12e. 1
kriegsfunker Posted October 7, 2019 Author Posted October 7, 2019 Why were there two different 23 boxes? Why the different power configurations?
dufleuve Posted October 7, 2019 Posted October 7, 2019 I assume it was to spare battery life when using the intercom only. The 23a could be used with motor stopped without killing the battery.
