Manu Della Valle Posted March 20, 2016 Posted March 20, 2016 My "(very)poor man's" tropenmutze! It's the only one I kept and have got and nothing to compare to Dermot's or to write home about, still a nice Mid-War Tropenmutze! The eagle and cockade are zig-zag stitched, the grommets are grommets, the lining is red,the stamps are black and the outside is green just like me when I look at Dermot's tropenmutze! Cheers Manu 2
Guest Fred Karno's Army Posted March 20, 2016 Posted March 20, 2016 Jeez @Manu Della Valle enough photo porn already for one day. ,bloody cracking mate
Manu Della Valle Posted March 20, 2016 Author Posted March 20, 2016 Thanks Ham, but after Dermot's sun-bleached cap this one is nothing that would set the Thames on fire,I'm afraid!
DAK D Posted March 21, 2016 Posted March 21, 2016 Hi Manu, Your cap is a fantastic example of a later M40 tropical peaked cap. D
Manu Della Valle Posted March 23, 2016 Author Posted March 23, 2016 Thank you Mav and Dermot, but it's nothing to write home about when compared to Dermot's and the ones I used to have and that I've regrettably sold!
Major General Bil4338 Posted March 23, 2016 Major General Posted March 23, 2016 Lovely mutze, probably unissued by the minty condition, and still a very nice piece even so.
