Guest Fred Karno's Army Posted April 13, 2016 Posted April 13, 2016 I must admit I haven't had the pleasure of a 1911 but I am quite surprised at the delay between first and second tap ,was that you maintaining your accuracy or does the weapon cycle that slow ?.
Manu Della Valle Posted April 14, 2016 Author Posted April 14, 2016 (edited) Ho @Ham & Jam...you can cycle the gun with infinitesimal splits between shots but a little "delay" is useful ti mantain accuracy...a target is divided in three zones(A,C and D)...and you want ti hit the A zone every time! My favourite pistol, love shooting the 1911...I hired one for the day on our last trip to California...$10 a day, at the 2PK range in San Diego...a wee bit blingy, but this Kimber was amazing to shoot, put about 100 rounds through it...:) 2
Mark K Posted April 18, 2016 Posted April 18, 2016 (edited) @Manu Della Valle there is nothing like the smell of cordite and the kick of the 45 ACP one of my all time favourite's and is my preferred weapon of choice for close quarters the larger Cal.. gives them excellent stopping power...Here is my example which is only a knock off but still loads of fun to fire it has seen a few hundred rounds put through her now... I installed cherry wood grips soon after receiving it and a match grade barrel on her last year that really helped to improve the long range accuracy... Regards Mark Edited April 18, 2016 by Mark K 4
