I guess 42 years is asking a bit much, even of extra strong Army preservatives. I do still have a tin of crackers that look reasonably edible. I baited a rat trap though and the rats were not attracted at all.

I'll pass but the fags inside the 1942-dated  tin of Senior Services we opened up a few years  ago tasted good!
