william1134 Posted May 13, 2016 Posted May 13, 2016 These guns are really heavy, but I suppose they are quite stable once shooting? I am not sure as I have only handled de-acs.
Field Marshall Lenny Posted May 13, 2016 Author Field Marshall Posted May 13, 2016 Yup, Bren firing pin. heres a little quizz for you. Tell me 2 interesting things about this...

Field Marshall Lenny Posted May 13, 2016 Author Field Marshall Posted May 13, 2016 Yup, that's one thing... the oblong firing pic indentation gives it away, but what's the other interesting thing?
Guest Fred Karno's Army Posted May 13, 2016 Posted May 13, 2016 I can see its DWM and rune marked and date but hmmmmm ........ Thover tut thexperts
Manu Della Valle Posted May 13, 2016 Posted May 13, 2016 Well, I've been collecting WW2 German 7,92 cartridges in their boxes for a very long time but without my books I cannot say anything about this case! The headstamp reads DWM 1938 SS but IIRC there were NO SS-stamped steel cases...only brass ones!I cannot think of anything else at the moment!

It was such an accurate weapon, which could be a drawback for a machine gun, but they were so easy to field strip and reassemble, plus the barrel was easy to change without the use of gloves. Did you know that there was a twin barrelled version made. China developed them in the 50s, but theres only one in existence now. They used the AK47 magazines 1
Manu Della Valle Posted May 13, 2016 Posted May 13, 2016 Yes @Davejb...I know that there was a double-barrelled version and yes...it's disgustingly accurate for a MG!
