Plastic canopies

Does anyone use Johnsons CLEAR on their aircraft canopies, I,ve heard good results can be achieved, and there is do danger that the plastic smears, but leaves them clearer than when unpacked, also it gives a good key for painting. I think I,ll try this on another build, either small or large scale

It's the old Future,aka Klear,aka Klir in France!It's got a milky look but it oughta work just as well!Dipping canopies in it requires a little "knack";dip the canopy in a glass of clear then put it on a folded square of household tissue to absorb the excess that will run down and don't forget to cover the drying canopy with a cup or a small box to prevent any lints from being "embedded" in the still fresh Clear!In case you'd screw the whole thing up just drop the canopy in a glass full of diluted ammonia (20% ammonia to 90% water should be the right ratio!) or Windex and repeat!
