Utah Bob Posted July 15, 2016 Posted July 15, 2016 Just arrived today. Got it for $200. No dings in the blade. No bends. Guard is tight with no damage. Marked blade. Only surface rust on the blade. A good day!
Davejb Posted July 16, 2016 Posted July 16, 2016 Thats a nice Sabre with a bit of history behind it. Normally I would say that nothing should be cleaned unless theres a danger of rust eating deeper into the metal, this is surface rust but I can see some slight pitting begining, you could get this removed professionally from a metal works . A light sizel mop polish can do wonders without eating into the metal, I did this with two rusting Ghurka knives which I found in a junk shop, they are now gleaming as they should be and very attractive
