A coming reckoning.

I have been reading several rather disturbing articles that deal with the build up of NATO and Russian forces in Eastern Europe.  One article even goes so far as to claim that the west really is preparing to go to war with Russia.

Does anyone agree with this?

I am not fully up to speed on everything going on. I don't think either side is willing to have a go at all out war. I think more Cold War era posturing.

Well, it's not on the scale of what the Cold War was.  We are not talking hundreds of thousands of troops eye balling each other across the Iron Curtain.  We are just talking about the deployment of several multinational battalions, establishing an air defense system, and moving NATO assets east ward.  Meanwhile Russia has reportedly moved four divisions to it's south eastern border with the Ukraine.  

I wouldn't call it doomsday, but things are moving in the wrong direction.
