Henri Posted July 31, 2016 Posted July 31, 2016 Well, my intuition told me that this would be British, but I am not sure! Have this badge already a long time in my collection, but never put real effort in it to indentify it. Does any of you guys recognize it?
Davejb Posted July 31, 2016 Posted July 31, 2016 The Kings crown with crowned Lion on top is a Brigadiers or Colonels Badge, during the reign of King George V, WW1 and George VI ,now a Queens crown
Henri Posted July 31, 2016 Author Posted July 31, 2016 Thanks @Davejb! So if I understand correct it is a WW1 period badge, or at least pre-WW2 and was worn by a Brigadier or Colonel on his cap. Right?
Henri Posted July 31, 2016 Author Posted July 31, 2016 All I could find were the embroided versions. Does any one know about the metal version like I have ?
Davejb Posted July 31, 2016 Posted July 31, 2016 Google "History of Crowned Lion on Crown cap badges"they have the exact same one you have, these were metal and cloth for caps 1
Henri Posted July 31, 2016 Author Posted July 31, 2016 Thanks again @Davejb! Will do that tomorrow or so. Thanks for pointing me out.
