It's a strange film and after 30 years I still don't know what to make of it  .

It's only me who think that the Austrialians wear "strange" Slouch Hats?I'm not into WW1 uniforms,yet they don't look quite right!

I think you,ll find that all the costumes were supplied by Berman and Nathans,,,Angels as its now known,,They have an extensive archive in reference books , documents and even actual uniforms from various periods, all of which they can copy en mass. I,ve been there many times for a costume fitting and its a wonder world for military costumes,, some of which have been worn by famous actors ,too many to name,, but I do remember seeing the costumes worn in Zulu, and The Night of the Generals, they might be copies but you leave there drooling,,
