Guess what this is

I've recovered two of these recently and had to look into it a bit but let's see if anyone can id these ,as one was complete ,and the other had not been assembled .

I have fully restored both now and have one working as it would have done during WW1

WW1 stuff..........I am strictly WW2  Of course, I have built up some knowledge of WW1 items, but only about 1% of what I know about WW2 items
