One of several in the collection,this was found in Mametz wood on the Somme.My favourite designation for the S.R.D Mark is 'Seldom Reaches Destination' !.

1 gallon for 64 men, I wonder how much that would measure in a glass, poor buggers needed more than that to face the enemy, the cold of winter, and the boredom in the trenches!

Sometimes the way I like a drink,  my SRD would apply....Soon Runs Dry!
