Davejb Posted October 18, 2018 Posted October 18, 2018 Looks ok to me Bil, but I think its been very rarely worn, judging by the interior head band, which looks almost new, the eyelets look hardly worn as well ie no corrosion, perhaps a late war version?? or been well stored
Manu Della Valle Posted October 18, 2018 Posted October 18, 2018 IMHO,and judging by pictures alone is ALWAYS something to be taken with a grain of salt,it’s a mint mountain cap devoid of insignas.Any traces of a T-shaped or trapezoid indigna and of an edelweiss on the left side?
Major General Bil4338 Posted October 18, 2018 Author Major General Posted October 18, 2018 I’m finding it hard to see any obvious traces, so I dunno if it’s ever had insignia, although there is wear to the nap of the cap.the minty headband threw me a bit...maybe the cap was kept as a walking-out item, the insignia removed for post war use then stored away as an afterthought?
