Richard Auld Posted July 29, 2019 Posted July 29, 2019 Guys, Had a wander around today and checked out the locations on the 1943 local map. We have a real problem with wild pigs where we are but they have their uses it would appear! Rich 1 1
Afrikakorpsrat64 Posted August 1, 2019 Posted August 1, 2019 @Richard Auld nice to find stuff like that on a walk! I am trying to restore this M24, if you should find a serviceable end piece with the threads for cap, I would be interested, also looking for the head. Thanks 1
Richard Auld Posted August 2, 2019 Author Posted August 2, 2019 Send me your address, when I find one I will send it, got one last night still round but with a little pitting, even has the tiny nails still. I will post it later see if it passes muster, last night shift tonight! Rich 1
Richard Auld Posted August 2, 2019 Author Posted August 2, 2019 The 3 circled are not too bad, I think the left one would straighten when fitted and the other two have nails still. 1
Afrikakorpsrat64 Posted August 2, 2019 Posted August 2, 2019 Thanks @Richard Auld agree, the one on left looks ok. Just want my grenade to look a bit more complete. I'll PM you my address. Thanks!
Richard Auld Posted August 3, 2019 Author Posted August 3, 2019 Have you got the end screw cap already? 1

Davejb Posted August 5, 2019 Posted August 5, 2019 Oh bloody hell AK, if I,d known you were looking for the head and prong base plate, you could have had mine, it was in great condition and with writing around the head, I sold mine at War and Peace last year, got a decent price for it as well, witch surprised me 1

It's been a slow restore, I got a nice fuse base from Andy awhile back.

Richard Auld Posted August 14, 2019 Author Posted August 14, 2019 No it is an early Bundswehr Anti tank mine fuse (discharged) DM56 A1 B1.
