What was this cart official German name? Any close images?

Hi Val,

acc to Funksammler in "German line communications equipment of WW2" (PDF) it is simply "cable cart for Schweres Feldfernkabel".

But I also found it in www.nachrichtentruppe.de/ labeled as "Wagenspule". I can't say which one is the more appropriate (if ever or at all) term.

It is for sure not a "Nachrichtengerätekarren".

Actually this is the first photo i have seen this cart in such a details.

my english is very bad, I hope Funksammler can explain this better.
Unfortunately I don't have any pictures of the Verlegewagen, only of the cable drum for Feldfernkabel.

Here again since a lot of time ago. Sorry.

Well, I´d never thought that someday part of my material would be shown in your excellent and didactic page. I´vegot good info a lot of times from there.

Feel free to use my images to include them in Der Fernmelder. I will try to add several more from my last exhibition.

Some additional info. Those carts were used until beginning of 2000 decade by the Spanish Army to lay heavy two pairs field cable, first FFK from german adquisition in Spanish Civil War (1936-39) and "Plan BÄR" in 1943 and after spanish mfg. cable called AZO after its manufacturer in the town of Zaragoza that at the end, made a new 2 pairs cable under denomination C-1. When digital systems Signal programs were launched those cables and carts were decomissioned holding only US 26 pairs cable for digital systems  Signal stations.
