Some recently acquired Tropical sleeve patches

I have recently enlarged the collection of Tropical sleeve patches, and Private rank pips. a couple are nicely maker marked.

I am sure you are aware that you need to be cautious with the 'Oberschutz' pips as they were more or less continued for use within the DDR for the work uniform I understand?

Those look ok but it is the ones that look like a 'drillich' type and have the border on them.

That is good, I do have some of the the DDR version and I will post it up for reference when I find it. Of course it would be interesting to know if they used 'New old stock' Wehrmacht stuff as they did early on with weapons etc?
