Guys,

in the same lot as the water damaged stuff!

Thankfully in good order and not from the water!

Quite pleased with this as it is a first for me!

updated the pictures, from what I can gather online it is the flat type, little chip to the enamel but not that bad.

Is this a sweetheart brooch worn by mothers, instead of on the cloth neck link?

Yes Gwar, They have a good sticky on them on WAF with period newspaper advertisement for this type. It does state only the normal size and the conventional miniature were the only type authorized for ware. The flat version does not look as good and the quality is probably not as tightly controlled as the pieces for issue. I think it is ok though. There seems to be quiet a lot of variation on these as highlighted on the WAF thread.

According to WAF they are a commercial effort not officially sanctioned so an alternative to the neck ribbon?
