Guys,

sad to say a friend and comrade has died, he was only 20 days older than me. He was a keen sportsman and represented the UK in the Olympics. I served with him in Iraq and later Cyprus. At that time he was Battery Sergeant Major of J (Sidi Rezegh) Battery, 3rd Regiment Royal Horse Artillery. He had a large family and is naturally survived by them. I am quite shocked at the news as he was, as an Olympian, always as fit as a fiddle. I definitely caused him some grey hairs but we still had a laugh.
