Boston Mark Posted March 11, 2022 Posted March 11, 2022 (edited) This is my first post, it seems there is a collective intelligence about WWII German belt buckles on this forum. I have been collecting buckles for a long time and bought buckles and conversed with John Angolia years ago about spotting fake buckles. I need your opinion on this buckle I found in Louisville. I have not seen an early Heers buckle made of brass with a face plate, most are aluminum. The detail on the eagle is exquisite, notice the talon over the swaz. Richard Auld Posted March 18, 2022 Posted March 18, 2022 Hi, I think Lenny is your man but for me it looks like a home made job, from original parts? The Reichswehr buckles were not with a brass box so to suddenly find this which seems to go backwards in terms of cost to produce at the time? Do you think it real? Best Rich
