Utah Bob Posted March 22, 2016 Posted March 22, 2016 I have been located in Southwest Colorado for the last decade after retiring here from Florida. I was a Special Forces officer in the '60s and developed a fascination with militaria (or maybe it began much earlier) I have a small collection of items that fill my mancave now. I tend to concentrate onm American Infantry iniforms and equipment from the early 1900s through today, with some foreign items that tickled my fancy. I rotate some of the collection in a display at out local Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) post, where the M109 Self Propelled Howitzer resides (no, it's not mine). Glad to be here. Or as they say....At my age, I'm glad to be anywhere. 5

I left the battalion in Sep of '70 in Vietnam. I don't know if the tradition continues today. 1
