nice clean DP shell! the liner is most probably post ww2, (ww2 are always black) the strap is also unusual, but not surprising with DP helmet as these were used by civilians mostly, so anything is possible...

I was under the impression that these were used postwar too so the liner would fit with that.please feel free to correct me if I'm wrong...

you are totally right, they were used well after the end of the war so it is not surprising to see a tan colour liner in a DP

Nice to see a couple of original ones for a change,especially with the liners :D.

This helmet could also be fitted with the grey plasticised rexene-type material liners which are sometimes found in Adrian models and usually posted on eBay as wartime.
