French Kepi ..info and ID please...

Hiya, Just bought this Kepi at the boot sale, and have no clue what is was originally from....the wife says a Parking Attendant...not so sure myself..:)

 

In superb condition and dated from 1955.

Any info would be gratfully received guys..:)

I,m thinking its possible it could have been used for any purpose, its a generic cap used for all the organisations as stated inside, its the "P" motif that denotes its use, whether its a parking attendant, Prison officer or some other administrative post used in the Army or Legion, we need one of our friends across the channel to ID its true use

Hi @Davejb, Yep, agreed....I just did a google of French Kepi images,and out of hundreds,  only one exactly the same came up....saying it was a Police/Gendarme Cap.....hope it is...:)
